Passport to Health
April 17th, 2018
HORSHAM, PA
On April 13th Hatboro-Horsham High School students got the opportunity during their HATS periods to walk around and explore over 40 vendors that offered students different healthy options. Whether it was food, exercise, mental health, or mindfulness students got to take away new healthier habits and be more aware. The fair was very engaging with hands on activities like drunk goggles, distracted driving, exercise competitions, and trying new healthier snacks that might be in their cafeteria.
The wellness committee wants to know what kind of food the students would like to see in their school. This gave the students the chance to test out the food and provide feedback of what they liked and didn’t like.
Even Keith Valley 8th grade students joined in on the fun. The wellness committee wanted 8th graders to experience the same thing the high school students got to do. In the future, this event may turn into a community event after such a successful day.
