Girls STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) has come to an end for the school year. Over 16 STEAM events have been held this year by the Hatboro-Horsham Educational Foundation.
Dr. Morgan Cable, a research scientist for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory for the California Institute of Technology came to Hatboro-Horsham as the capstone for HH’s final STEAM event of the year. Cable is best known for her role in leading the Cassini Mission to Saturn. One of her goals is to find life on other planets. She shares her research and experiments about testing extreme environments of Earth, Saturn & Jupiter.
She encourages the girls to explore several avenues to starting a career. Cable says to purse internships, follow up with emails, make phone calls, or schedule a coffee date. This might change your life like it did for her.
