HORSHAM, PA
Hatters Stadium is no more. On October 26th, the official name change of Hatters Stadium to N. Dennis Steinly Memorial Stadium took place. As community members gathered around for some dinner and to reminisce on N. Dennis Steinly legacies.
Steinly coached football for 31 years at Hatboro-Horsham high school. With a record of 189-105 that included seven Suburban One League Championships. His many other accomplishments include: four Bux-Mont League championships, one PIAA District one title in 1992, Suburban One League Coach of the year, Four-time Suburban One League Freedom Divison Coach of the Year, and was inducted into Hatboro-Horsham Athletic Wall of Fame in 2008.
After the passing of Steinly this past year, the Hatboro-Horsham Alumni Association got involved asking if the high school would rename the stadium in his honor.
Steinly was not only a coach but a teacher and mentor to many students.
The Steinly family in conjunction with Hatboro-Horsham Alumni Association has established a Memorial Scholarship Fund in honor of Coach Dennis Steinly to pay tribute to his coaching career. The fund will be used to support the educational aspirations of HH grads by raising and maintaining a perpetual scholarship fund.

Rest in Peace Dennis Steinly 1941-2018.
