Finanical Reality Fair 2018

Junior and seniors at Hatboro-Horsham High School attended a financial reality fair on December 4th. This annual fair teaches students the importance of budgeting your money for life after high school. The fair was an exercise where students were given a monthly net pay along with other monthly bills they needed to pay. Students went to different booths to pick out housing, cars, insurance and more. Once the students picked out the monthly bills they had to total the bills and see if they could afford the lifestyle they wanted to live.

Not only was this fair eye-opening to students about the reality of money and bills but, the students realized how much their families have to spend monthly for survival.

Thanks to the partnership with TruMark Financial Credit Union this day became a reality. 275 students attended the fair, plus 44 volunteers.
