Blair Mill Family STEM Night
January 28th, 2019
HORSHAM, PA
On January 24th, Blair Mill Elementary school held their first ever Family STEM night with the help from 2nd-grade teachers, Lauren Pace, and Jamie Bailkin. STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Many stations were set up for problem-solving activities based on science, technology, engineering, and math. All activities for family STEM night were centered around a winter theme. Activities included a snowman escape room, polar bear defense, dog sled building and many more.
Family STEM night was something new Blair Mill added this school year and they are going to keep that tradition going with such a great turnout with over 150 students and family members that attended.
