Class of 2023 First Day of School
September 4th, 2019
HORSHAM, PA
On September 3rd, freshmen students entered Hatboro-Horsham High School for the first time as high school students. Hatboro-Horsham’s Link Crew program was there to welcome in new students with icebreakers and just giving them a friendly face. Link Crew is a program designed to help freshmen ease into the transition from middle school to high school. A Link Crew Leader isn’t just for a day or a week, its for the whole year.
This is the sixth year Link Crew has been running at Hatboro-Horsham High School with the help of Link Crew Advisors, Jim Shields and Vanessa DeLuca. Link Crew is a competitive program at the high school. Only junior and seniors can apply to apart of the Link Crew program through an application process.
The day started out with a students walking into their high school experience with a fun icebreaker assembly. After the assembly Link Crew Leaders broke off into groups with their freshmen for more activities and a tour. About seven to eight freshmen are with two Link Crew Leaders. Link Crew Leaders are there to support and guide freshmen through their first year of high school.
Several fun activities are held throughout the year with Link Crew and their freshmen. One activity coming up is a Halloween surprise for students.
Almost 400 students walked down the halls of Hatboro-Horsham High School on September 3rd. If you are interested in joining Link Crew for the upcoming years you can contact Mr. Shields or Mrs. DeLuca about the application process.
