Hatboro-Horsham School District First Day of Kindergarten 2020
October 27th, 2020
HORSHAM, PA
The first day of kindergarten for students and families is a day full of emotions. Feeling excited, scared, nervous, happy are all normal emotions for the first day of school. This incoming class of Hatboro-Horsham kindergarten students had a little bit of a different experience.
The official start of the school year began on September 8th as fully remote learning due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Kindergarten students and families weren’t able to experience a kindergarten tour during the Spring time as they normally would. For some students on October 26th, might of been their first time seeing their classroom.
At the school board meeting on October 7th the school board voted for kindergarten students to return to school on October 26th, for everyday in-person learning. Preschool and before and after care also returned on October 26th. For the rest of the district the return of students for the hybrid model are staggered.
