Feed a Friend 2020

For the past 15 years Hatboro-Horsham High School Student Council has held a food drive called Feed a Friend. Every year, community members, staff, and students donate food to local families in need. Hatboro-Horsham High School Counselors reach out to the community to see if anyone may need some assistance for the holiday season. Once a family is identified, they are added onto the Feed a Friend list for that year and will receive some boxes of food.

This year especially has taken a toll on many families due to Coronavirus pandemic. HH is helping out over 90 families for the 2020 holiday season. Not only has the Coronavirus affected families but it has also has changed how Student Council can collect and organize the food. Typically over 80 student come in and help sort and collect the food. This year, only 10 students could help out at a time, which has made the process much harder. With the help of some high school staff working inside the building during the week, the food was sorted in a timely manner.

Delivery day for the food will happen on December 23 with the help of students and volunteer drivers. Along with a bag of food, each family receives a turkey or ham of their choice by the help of all the donated gift cards.

The goal is always to provide enough to feed each family we assist for two-three weeks. If you are interested in being part of this fantastic holiday initiative, they are in need of the following items:

• Monetary donations 
• Gift cards to local food stores
• Canned/nonperishable food items

Two designated days already happened for dropped off but you can still drop off food in the High Schools main lobby up From Monday-Friday between 7 AM- 3 PM up until December 22. Gift cards or monetary donations can be  mailed to:
