Blair Mill Elementary School prides itself on the initiative of focusing on physical and mental well being. This school year may be different because of COVID-19 but that isn’t stopping them from still hosting a Wellness Week. Second grade teachers Jamie Bailkin and Lauren Pace who are the event coordinators thought outside of the box this year to still be able to get students and family members moving.
Monday was Blair Mill’s kick-off event called “Get Moving Monday” it was a school wide event where each class came outside for 15 minutes to get their bodies moving. Blair Mill’s Home and School Association also known as HSA helped host the event by keeping kids excited and handing out waters. For the rest of the week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday have virtual classes like: karate, dance, cooking, CrossFit, mindfulness and much more. Then on Friday is the finale of the week called “Fit Friday” where classes will go outside and do a variety of exercises.
