FBLA Breakfast with Santa 2021
HORSHAM, PA
December 7, 2021
On December 4, Hatboro-Horsham High School finally opened up their doors again for the annual Breakfast with Santa. This past year the event, was unable to be held due to COVID-19. Currently, with Montgomery county numbers being on the lower side, the event was able to be held!
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club hosts this event. Many months of planning goes into this event. Fun activities surround the high school’s cafeteria like ornament making, coloring, making reindeer food, letters to Santa, Santa Spies, and many more activities. After eating some breakfast and enjoying some crafts, children could get their picture taken with Kris Kringle.
Planning this event has a lot of behind the scenes effort you wouldn’t even know. Vivi Vergara Co-President of FBLA stated, “We’re a business club so a lot of the time people think a lot of that is stocks, and investment, but really the main thing from this is communication. Also, to a certain extent we handle a budget so we may need to cut costs where we can, without cutting quality.”
Approximately 300 tickets were sold totaling around $2,500 dollars. Half the money raised goes towards Feeding Pennsylvania which is FBLA’s charity this year. While the other half will go towards the clubs future events.
