Hatboro-Horsham High School Statistics Fair 2022
HORSHAM, PA
June 3rd, 2022
Hatboro-Horsham High School’s Statistics Fair is back and better than ever. After a two-year absence due to COVID-19, this project is back for the AP Statistics students at HH.
On June 2nd, high school students gathered inside the auditorium to present their projects after a month of hard work. Students can get creative and make their projects on any type of interest they may have. The students pair up into a group of two and get to work. Projects ranged from a wide variety like trail mix expectations to the Tony Awards.
Administration and guests are invited in to help judge the student’s work. “Students are assessed on a one through five scale on how well they are able to explain their statistics, and how much passion, and how much interest they have in the project and conveying that to the person evaluating them.” stated Bob Lochel, AP Statistic Teacher.
At the end of the event, the top six teams were selected and awarded gift cards or cash prizes donated by the parents. The top six teams are:
Lance Hartman | Mason Wynn | “All that and a bag of chips” |
Harper Sirine | “Not all lunches are created equal” | |
Jenna Connor | Kristina Exton | “Raisin’ our Trail mix expectations” |
Patrick Sharkey | Aidan Robin | “Speed is KEY” |
Avery Daniels | Charlotte Elwell | “Faster Brew w/o a Drive Thru?” |
Ava Nociforo | Hannah Whitaker | “Was the Tony worth the Win?” |
