Hallowell Elementary School held its annual WALK THIS WAY event on September 30, 2022. Students from all grades participated in stations that combined physical activities with career knowledge. Teachers Tammy Eldridge and Eric Glemser helped organize the event.

Students from all grades were split into groups that moved around the school campus to different stations. Volunteers from the military, police, Horsham township, and other businesses were at those stations showing the students why fitness is important to their employees.

Glemser stated that the purpose of the event was to help students understand the importance of physical fitness in some careers. “Each group talked about what they do, why they do it, and why it’s important to be fit and good at your job.”

The students enjoyed the experience and were able to connect the concepts physical fitness to the careers they saw.
